My Recipes For Healthier, Stronger Hair!

Recipes To Get Healthier/Stronger Hair...

Hey hairoholics!

Too much hair in the drain/on your brush? Ever wonder why you cannot grow longer healthier hair? The main reason is breakage. To prevent breakage we must limit the use of hot tools/styling-aids and brushing. We can also make our hair stronger using homemade recipes that are natural and nourishing for our hair. In the recipes below I used only 3 ingredients that are relatively cheap and can be bought at any health foods or whole foods market. I created these recipes to improve my hair condition and so far it is a super success! I hope they help you with your hair woes too :)

* All of the ingredients that I have purchased are from the NOW brand because they are 100% organic and relatively cheap compared to their "big brand" competitors *

Repairing Hair Mask For Damaged/Brittle Hair:

For this mask you need only two key ingredients. Shea butter and almond oil. Shea butter is very repairing for both skin/hair. In this mask it will make your hair more elastic and "pliable". Almond oil on the other hand is very moisturizing and full of healthy fats that will nourish hair from the inside out.

What To Do:

Melt 2-3 tbsp. of shea butter with 3-4 tbsp. of almond oil (all depending on the length of your hair) in a small bowl in the microwave. Apply the mask onto your hair. It doesn't matter whether your hair is wet or dry you still get the benefits of the mask. Leave the mask in for 2 hours - 1 full night. Wash your hair out with a mild shampoo and don't forget to condition your hair.

Hot Oil Treatment For Smoother/Healthier Hair & Scalp:

In this recipe you only need two oils, argan oil and almond oil. Argan oil from Morocco is a lighter oil that penetrates into the hair cuticle better than grape seed or avocado oil because it contains more fatty acids. Almond oil is also a great hot oil because it nourishes hair roots and helps soften your hair.

What To Do:

Heat 3-4 tbsp. of argan and almond oil in a small bowl in the microwave. After, dip your fingers into the oil and thoroughly massage your scalp. "Move" your scalp and gently tug on your hair to stimulate blood flow to your scalp. Comb through your hair and leave the oil in overnight for a whole heap of hair benefits. Wash out the next day with a mild shampoo and conditioner.
